MORE than 2 200 matriculants from more than twenty eight (28) Secondary Schools in Moretele met for the annual career exhibition in Mogogelo Community Hall, Ward 11, today, Monday, 14 April 2025.
The career exhibition held in partnership with Nzalo careers aimed to expose learners to different career paths and connect them with industry professionals.
Moretele Local Municipality Mayor, Hon. Cllr Masango George Manyike attended the event. He was flanked by Ward 18 Cllr, Joshua Motaung, Ward 11 Cllr, London Tlhabane and Sports, Arts, Culture and Education MMC, Cllr Morake Molefe.
Addressing the learners, the Mayor committed his support to the learners. “As you stand at this pivotal moment in your lives, I want to take a moment to speak directly to you. Today, as you participate in the 2025 Career Exhibition, remember that you are not just exploring options, you are laying the foundation for your future.
This is a time of discovery and possibility. Embrace the opportunities that
lie before you. Ask questions, seek guidance, and engage with the
exhibitors here today,” said the Mayor.
The Mayor encouraged the learners to make sound decisions. “Remember, the choices you make now will shape the trajectory of your lives. Don’t be afraid to dream big. Your aspirations are valid, and with hard
work and determination, you can achieve them.” Whether you envision a
career in science, the arts, business, or any other field, know that your passion and effort will guide you toward success.
Biri Marung hitmaker, Tebogo G Mashego whose song became popularized as Thuto Marung got all the learners coming to the stage to sing along with him.
