🚨 MORETELE LOCAL MUNICIPALITY SUCCESSFULLY IMPLEMENTS EASTER ARRIVE ALIVE ROADBLOCK OPERATION
Moretele Local Municipality, through its Public Safety & Transport Unit, successfully conducted the 2026 Easter Arrive Alive Activation Roadblock Programme across key routes including Soutpan Road, Makapanstad Road and the R101.
The operation was executed in partnership with:

🎯 OBJECTIVE
To enhance public safety, enforce traffic laws, and combat crime within the municipality.
⚙️ FOCUS AREAS
- Identification of drunk drivers
- Vehicle and driver licence verification
- Removal of unroadworthy vehicles
- Detection of illegal goods
- Enforcement of road traffic legislation
📊 OPERATIONAL RESULTS
- 946 vehicles stopped and checked
- 18 new summons issued (R19,000.00)
- 78 vehicles flagged (R104,070.00 outstanding fines)
